We’ve been working with our broker network for the last few months putting together our Wellx insurance program. We hope to have a competitive professional liability insurance offering for massage therapists by our launch date.

Before we can sell insurance through Wellx, one of us had to become a licensed producer. I was the best candidate, given my financial background.

So, I’m currently taking online classes in property and casualty insurance, the area that includes professional liability. I plan to take the exam as soon as I finish the coursework. I certainly have learned a lot about the “language” of insurance.

I would love to expand into health and life insurance at some point, but I first have to find time to take additional classes. Those products are part of a different curriculum.

In addition, we are putting together great third party partner deals for supplies. It’s too soon to disclose our business partners, but I can say they are big name brands. We have some very exciting deals in the works!
